We had to be ready to leave the hotel at 8 AM. It wasn't as hard as we thought. We even Skyped with family and friends before we left. After breakfast, we left punctually at 8:00. First stop was the Civil Affairs Office. There we filled out paperwork, got a gift from the province of Jiangxi (porcelain pen holder), learned to pronounce her name correctly( guess they thought we were stupid), and promised to love her, educated her, and never abandon her, and made some friends. Next stop was the notary. No excitement there. Last stop was the police station. there she had her passport photo made. We get it Friday.
Our facilitator has reserved a room for dinner tonight for Samantha's birthday. Cake too. We will post those photos later. By the way the birthday girl is doing great. After a nap and bath yesterday she felt a little better. And today she is a different baby. She smiles a lot and is pretty active. So far no cold or congestion for the Dr. to see. I truly believe we were matched with the perfect baby. She actually reminds me of our youngest son, Dawson. She points her finger alot- Dawson did that. And she smiles a lot like Colton did as a baby. And she is like them together in that she is just too xxxx cute--per Todd as if you didn't know.

Just logged on to see the recent new pictures and I swear that smile could melt anyones heart. She's beautiful! I want to wish her a happy birthday and say Iam proud that her birthday is in May too. Good things happened in May, NO the BEST things happened in May, HA HA!! You just wait she's going to have Todd wrapped around that little finger. She'll look up with those beautiful brown eyes at Walmart and say please daddy can I have this Barbie and daddys going to have to say yes!!! At least it usually works for Gracie. Can't wait to hold her.
