We spent the day-all day-touring the city of Beijing. We went to Tian'an men Square first. Then to the Forbidden city. Both were very crowded, even more than we expected, because today is
their Labor Day. Lots of people were off work and kids were out of school all over the country. So there were lots of Chinese people traveling within the country. There were lots of tours with just Chinese.
As soon as we got off the bus we were bombarded by street vendors trying to sell us stuff- and they didn't take no for an answer very easily. That actually happend about 3-4 times throught the day. And we were asked several times by the Chinese people if they could take their picture with us. Very wierd!
After a great lunch with our group we went to the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. After a while all the history and buildings started running together. We will have to label our pictures soon to get it all correct. The emperors had so many buildings and places for himself, his empresses, and concubines, both for living and leisure it all started sounding and looking the same.
We decided to order a burger from room service and chill out before another day of power walking.
I have to say that we were very humbled today. We have so much and sometimes take it for granted. A bottle of water was gold today.

Hi, it's di. Sounds like everthing is going great. Can't wait to see more pictures and hear from you. I love reading about your day. It make me fill like i am with you. Love you alot. i will call the boys this weekend.
If a bottle of water was gold, then I hate to ask what a Diet Coke would have been worth! Todd, don't think about telling people you are Will Farrell and give them an autograph! Have a good weekend!
